St. Paul’s is one of five Church of England Parishes in Banbury. A congregation has met in the Warwick Road church since its consecration in the middle of the 19th Century. In the 1960s a second congregation was established at the top of Prescott Avenue, on the Bretch Hill housing estate.
We are an evangelical church and we aim to preach and teach the Good News of God’s grace in Jesus Christ, seeking to communicate this unchanging message relevantly to today’s ever-changing world. We are convinced that our town and our country need Jesus Christ.
In 2008, we joined GAFCON and the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans. We affirm the Jerusalem Declaration of faith set out by that first meeting of GAFCON.
We are part of the South Central Gospel Partnership which is a group of Evangelical churches in the south central region of England working together to promote the gospel of Christ. This includes strengthening and planting churches, and training leaders.
