Our foundational aim is to teach children and young people the good news of Jesus Christ.
Children: babies & pre-school- SUNDAYS
Bringing small children to church need not be a stressful experience. Don’t worry if your children make a noise or want to run around. If they need to let off steam you can use the crèche; there are also toys and books in the children’s corner at the back of the church. The crèche is staffed by at least two helpers and meets next to the church hall while the older children have their teaching groups. You are welcome to stay with your child or leave them to play while you return to the service. We will call you immediately if your child is unhappy.
You can meet the crèche helpers in the children’s corner when you arrive. Please let us know if you need any help during the service. There are nappy changing facilities in the disabled toilet in the church hall, and children’s drinks are served in the children’s corner straight after the service.
- MIDWEEK
TODDLE TIME welcomes babies and toddlers and their parents/carers. We meet on Friday mornings 10-11.30 during school term time in the church hall at St Paul’s Warwick Road. We have a large carpeted areas where babies can play safely, as well as bikes and trikes, a soft play circuit, trampoline, play doh, puzzles, Happy Land, dressing up and lots more for busy toddlers. Each session includes refreshments for children and adults, and ends with some singing and dancing. We ask for a contribution of £1 per family to cover costs. - SUNDAYS
SPOTLIGHT meets during the morning service at Warwick Road each week except the first Sunday of each month (when there is an all-age service). The children participate in the main service for 15 minutes then go down to the hall for Spotlight. Activities include; exploring the Bible together games crafts dramas and quizzes. - MIDWEEK
LIGHTHOUSE is our after school club, meeting at Prescott Avenue on Thursday afternoons. More details from Jeannette.
- SPECIAL EVENTS
During the year we hold special events for children. These include; an Easter Extravaganza, Mini Olympics, Light Party (alternative to Hallowe’en) and a Family Fun afternoon (including a BBQ.) More details from Jeannette.
- SUNDAYS
LASER meets during the morning service at Warwick Road. This is a group for secondary school children to meet and explore the Bible together in a variety of interesting ways. More details from Jeannette.
- MIDWEEK
‘YGNITE’ is our Youth Group which meets every other Friday (contact David Huss for dates) at Prescott Avenue between 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. and is open to all from school year 7 upwards. Activities include; small group Bible study games crafts and drama. Refreshments are provided.
