Family Worship

Family (or Household) worship is basically what it says on the tin… worship! It’s meeting with the living God as a family unit through Scripture, song, and prayer. Its aim is to bless both young and old as we, together, receive from and praise Him. It’s also something that has been practised throughout the history of the Christian church.

Family worship doesn’t have to be complicated. Find a good time when you can all gather, read a portion of Scripture together, take turns to pray, and sing a song or hymn you know. If you’re not used to this as a practice, it might seem strange at first. So just start slowly, keep it brief, and aim for regularity not perfection.
